The Da Nang Orthopaedic and
Rehabilitation Center is comprised of a group of connected structures
housing a patient examination clinic, an operating room, a prosthetics lab,
a physical therapy center, and patient wards.
The complex was erected in the early
1960's, and most of the equipment, including the single x-ray machine,
dates back to that era. The operating room is small, and to manage
the busy surgical schedule, two operating tables are in use side by side
each day. The patient wards are crowded and hot, with parents
serving as their children's nurses. |

The Center's single
examining room is small and quite busy with physicians, staff, and
patients with their accompanying family members. Many patients hopeful to
be chosen for examination peer through the windows and doors. |
